SEO

85 - 95% of internet users use a search engine to find what they are looking for. 95% of those internet users will click on a link on the first page of search results. If a site ranks higher in a search engine for a specific search, it will have a better chance of bringing traffic to that site. SEO means optimising web pages for particular key phrases or words. This can give ‘naturally’ higher rankings at the search engines for chosen search terms.

Optimisation means getting a number of factors right – technical infrastructure, key words and phrases, page titles and H tags, enough relevant, well written copy, effective linking strategies, site maps and more. SEO is not about tricking the search engines but about understanding what elements search engines look for to help determine the relevance of the page to a search term. Organic SEO is long lasting.
